In Loving Memory of “Ben”
Ben was the truest Top Dog we could ever have to grace the pages of our website.
It’s hard to put into words what the heart is feeling when you are grieving. No words can do justice to the ache and empty feeling your heart now holds…
As wife to Ronnie and “mama” to Ben, I can tell you our hearts broke the day Ben left us. In all the years Ronnie & I have been together, and all the pets we’ve shared our home and our love with, no one can compare to our boy Ben.
Ronnie had the most difficult task of really honoring Ben by not letting him suffer and accepting the fact that there was no dignity in what was in store for Ben. He was brave and strong to the end!
Ben was a most beloved family member that happened to be a dog & police officer. He was a loving mama’s boy and a fierce protector of his family. He was Ronnie’s partner and loyal companion and was always by his side, watching and waiting for his chance to prove what a bad ass he was! He was fearless and brave and was responsible for many dope finds and “bad guy” finds over the years he worked the street.
Lots of people were afraid of Ben, and with good cause, but I never was. He saved a different side of himself for me. Loving and cuddly, friendly and playful. I loved him very much!
Our hearts have a hole in them where’s Ben’s presence is missing, but the place that holds his love will never disappear. So in our sadness we remember our boy as one of the most enjoyable parts of our journey so far…
Ben, as your paws now rest at the feet of God, know that you will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered with love and thankfulness for the joy you brought us everyday! God willing, we will meet again…

For a time we were unbeatable, nothing passed among us undetected.
